The first christmas present i finished!

It's based on the pi vest from knit.1 but i changed the rib and some other parts.
The icing on the cake is the ravenclaw badge i bought off ebay. expensive and silly but definitely worth it. Wink

what do you think?

I love sweater vests -- I loved the pi one (but couldn't justify buying a magazine for one pattern).  I really, really like this idea!  yay!

you don't even really need a pattern, as long as you can do a v-neck, and a little math to get the sizing right. and going without a pattern is a little nerve-wracking, but a lot more rewarding when you can smile at your friends and tell them you made the pattern yourself. Grin

ZOMG, I nearly wet myself in delight.  Cheesy I've always wanted to knit myself a Gryff vest, but I've never tackled anything other than hats/scarves before.

Yours looks absolutely great! You did a wonderful job and you've got one lucky friend.  Grin
