Hello! I recently purchased The Stitch-It Kit, which is excellent, and started learning about embroidery. I love how it is a fairly simple activity with amazing results.
I heard the craftypod podcast about embroidering on cards and was feeling inspired! Since two of my friends have birthdays coming up, I took this as a sign. I used library cards because they are readily available at my work and are on a decent paper stock. On the back is the catalog information for old medical textbooks, which I hope adds intrigue, rather than cheapness!

I'm very new to this, so it's not perfect, but I used chain stitch and back stitch on them. So much fun!

Yay! I just started embroidering too! (Okay, it was a while TIME-wise ago, but CRAFT time is a little low). It looks good Smiley

I actually love the fact that its on old library cards! I wish I had a whole bunch... I could imagine the possibilities...
