More pictures, as promised.  But first off, I should clarify.  I am going to be firm about my need to knit this out.  However, Sharre has anticipated this.  Quite mercifully, a number of goodies were outside of the ball.  So they are fair game right?  Here is what I found keeping my magic yarn ball company.

  • A Marvel Heroes tin, with lollies in of course.
  • A jumbo pencil.  This is no ordinary pencil, it is also magic (it says so on the side) and draws in no less than 3 colours at a time.
  • 4, count 'em, 4! packs of fudge.  Mmmmm strawberry, mint, jaffa and Aussie mud.  Wooo!
  • Also, my fave.  A shell
Why the shell, you ask?

Shocked Shocked Shocked If this is what I think this is... Shocked Shocked Shocked   well, just WOW.  I have never seen (or smelled) such a lovely thing ever.  You are too nice Sharre.
Last but not least, there was yarn.  This is wonderful, it is just gorgeous actually.  But it is scary too.  If Sharre's display of her 6th sense earlier (our yarn balls were presented in very much the same way, boxed up with blue and purple tissue paper) didn't scare you all, it will now.  Check this out.

The yarn matches my outfit!!  I cannot begin to explain how much I love this.  I love to match.  Often I need to match.  Wow!

Now, seeing as I have already made this post way to long and picture heavy, if you want to see more you'll have to look on my blog.  I didn't wanna double up so half of my pictures for this are there.  I did take a fair few pictures now that I think of it.   Grin  Here is a link to save you from searching.

I'm so glad you like it, and yes my sixth sense must have known that you would be wearing those exact colours when the yarn ball arrived.  Tongue

The shell contains lipgloss if you hadn't guessed. I wish I culd say it was my creation, but sadly I must be honest and state I picked it up at the markets. I had too it was too good to resist. Oh and beware the fudge, it is too good...

ETA: I have no idea what order I put the items in the yarn ball, so i'll be just as surprised as everyone else to see what comes out

Oh man, am I a nincompoop!

I am travelling when I finish with exams, so I gave two ship dates in my info to my partner.

I can't BELIEVE I screwed up my estimates of when I would finish so badly.

My yarn ball is in Pompano Beach. I am not, and won't be for a week. I'm so sorry eenodol! But the upside is that it won't screw up my exams.

Ok, this is getting really hard to resist. I started the pattern, and got a few fab goodies out which I love and will post pics of later. But this was my first time knitting with double pointed needles, and I went wrong badly Cry I had to pull it all out and I'm starting again tomorrow night. But for now, it's staring at me going "unwrap me, unwrap me!!". Ah damn stubbon me, I'll cave soon though lol.

Dang you RubyTuesday for making such a fab yarn ball!
