I built myself a warp-weighted loom so  I could learn how to weave. I got some basic directions on how to set up the warp but wondered if anyone has ever used this type of loom before and, if so, could give me any tips or advice? thanks!

I don't know much about it. I think there's a picture of one on Malarkycrafts.com. He uses it for tablet weaving. What are you using it for? I've been thinking of using weights because of the twist that builds up with tablet weaving but I haven't gotten to the fishing store.

I'd recommend Marta Hoffman's The Warp-Weighted Loom.  Remember that you have to weave top to bottom, which can be a bit disconcerting at first.
