This is a quilt i made for my grandmother for christmas last year. My mom and aunt have made my sisters and cousins take a family christmas photo every year since 1994, so for this quilt i gathered up some of the favorite christmas card photos, and assorted other christmas pictures. My grandma cried and cried, and then cried some more, this is the only photo i have of this, i was in a rush to finish it on dec 23rd and forgot to take pictures.

Thats a wonderful and touching idea!!

Is it still washable with the pictures, or did you do photo transfers?

I love it, superstitch!

it totally washable on cold. I printed right on the fabric with my printer, then i washed the sheets in cold water and ironed them dry to heat set the ink, and so far so good

Wow, thats really thoughtful and beautiful!

My gran would love something like that!  Do you mind if I possibly borrow that idea?  I might be able to make something like that for her for next christmas.  Though my gran will cry loads when she sees it as well.  It would actually have been good to have made something like that for her christmas this year seen as I'm in Singapore right now, a long way from Scotland!  So she is missing me and it upsets me when she cries everytime we are on the phone.  Though I'll be home for christmas and she is really looking forward to that.  Maybe I can try my hand at a scrap book for this christmas - hmm, thats an idea and then I can work on the quilt this coming year Smiley
