I made my first Christmas ornament of the year today! I'm feeling very seasonal now, but I'm not sure what to do next!

The design is from the holiday Martha mag. She used vintage Christmas cards, but as all I had lying around to cut up was an old pack of cards, I used that. Smiley

I've got a more detailed (and picture-heavy!) entry on my blog!

I love your version. I for one don't have any cool christmas cards lying around. I do however have about 8 boxes of playing cards that are for crafting purposes. Now I must try this for myself!!! Thanks for sharing!

I think for my next one, I want a more all-over design (less white), so I'll just use the face cards. I'll need to use a smaller circle though, and get three circles out of each card, instead of two.

oh and by the way..i checked out your blog and noticed that amazing craft/scrapbooking bag you bought at micheals. that is by far, the most amazing thing i've ever seen. i'm such a psycho about organizing things. i hope i can find one.

I love personal swaps!

That bag is my favourite thing EVER. Don't tell the boyfriend. Wink
It comes in different colours too, I got the brown/green, there was also brown/blue, brown/pink and all black. Green is pretty.
My local Michaels had a whole wall of them with the scrapbooking stuff, and it was originally $30 (Canadian).

Hey, I just heard a tip on another website... if you get your hands on a scrap-booking large circle punch, it makes a production line of these much much quicker!

hmm, I guesss Martha already told you that.... I just read the blog entry.  Sorry!
