I eat alot of those premade salads from the supermarket, I noticed the plastic bowl had an interesting flower shape, so I took some of that instant paper mache stuff and used the bowl for a form. I just mixed up the celluclay and rolled it out flat and smooshed it into the empty bow, it took about 2 days to dry completely. I was surprised how light the bowl is but very strong. I had trouble getting a good pic of the painting, but basically its a daisy. I sprayed it with a matte spray sealer, but I don't like the cloudy finish it left, next time I will use the glossy mod podge.

Yay Dyabolica, good job recycling! You have a good eye for "trash to treasure" crafts. (I just saw your frog jar- cute). I tend to save interesting looking containers because I just know that some day an idea will come.

My Mother, bless her was a tree hugging hippy, so I have a hard time throwing anything away. I have boxes of jars and empty containers, its amazing how much trash an average household puts out. I live in Vegas, and we do have a recycling truck come by on wednesdays, but I think I am the only person on my block who ever puts out the recycling bins. I mean how hard is it to seperate your trash and put it in a bin. oh well I'm stepping down off my soapbox now.
