I think I want this, cuz I love the one-skein projects, but I'd love a recommendation if anybody has one!

Yes, I have it, and it's a great book!  Lots of good gift ideas in there as well as many thing you'd want to keep for yourself.  Very well done.

No, I was merely reading the Muggle magazines. I do love knitting patterns.

I just bought this on Thursday, and since then, I put away all my other pattern books.  No, seriously.

There are tons of easy, fast projects in here, and with the holly-daze rapidly approaching, I NEED EASY & FAST.  (And to stop thinking, "Well, I probably -could- make X, Y, and Z some sweaters, but I'd have to install a coffee IV and knit continuously from now until December 25th with no sleeping or showering or anything....")

All of the projects come from LYSes around the country, who have used these patterns they designed as easy showcase items (store displays and stuff).  So you KNOW they're quick.

It's WELL worth the $19.

I was scanning through it the other night at books-a-million, and I thought it looked great!  Actually, did you know a Craftser made it in there?  The cute little cloice-type hat, with a ribbon around it... it seems like ages ago, but we were all so excited she made it in!

Will private swap for handspun yarn!

My wists.

I remember that hat! Now I really can't wait for it to come!! And also, it's only $12 on overstock.com, plus $1 shipping. Can't beat that!

Oh why oh why oh why don't they deliver the mail on Sundays? I'm also knee deep in holiday knitting...

I'm so glad to hear that it's a good book, because I also just ordered it the other day!
Normally I like to get books from the library before I'll buy them, but I belong to that craft book club that has cards in all the knitting magazines and right now they're having a half price sale where you can also defer payment until March so I just went for it.

I just bought this, and it's actually the first knitting book I've ever purchased.  I'm very ADD and have too many single skein messes laying around, so I'm really excited to knock some projects out in this.  Most of the stuff is simple enough to keep my focus, but still awesome looking.  Yay!  Be sure to post if anyone wants to do a KAL from the book.
