Oh yeah!!! These are my masterpieces. Please check out the links . These have been inspired by all the wacky felt things that I've seen here on Craftster. The first one is an orange cat

and the next is supposed to be a black bat

They are both made of felt and sewed by hand with the good ol' blanket stitch. I did a quickie single crochet with cotton thread for the straps. I think I am most proud of these because they are the first patterns that I made up in my head, drew out and then cut and stitched. I got the faces from the old antique German Halloween decorations that I have loved for years.

Let me know what you guys think. My next one is going to be a red glitter felt devil!! I'll post it when it's done.

I am speedballing on crafts right now so watchout!!!

First:
Those are darling!  You did a fabulous job, they look really neat and professional!  Yay!

Second:
RED GLITTER FELT?!?  Oh my gawd, where can I get some?!  I found blue, black, and purple at Wal-Mart, but no RED!  Oh good gravy--anyone want to trade me some of theirs?

O, crafty rapture!

Thank you all for your comments! Sassetteopants: I was in SanFrancisco at Mendel's art supply on Haight Street in July and ran across the squares of red glitter felt and thought 'Holy crap, I gotta get me some of that.' I have seen it by the yard at Joanne's fabrics but just couldn't shell out the money.  I love the craft felt colors, but it just doesn't hold up like the wool felt does. The glitter seems to make the craft felt a bit more sturdy.

Oooh!  I live in SF!  I don't go to Mendel's very often, I'll have to pop in there!
Thanks!

Wow, great job on the purses.  I'm in love with felt, it's so friggin' easy to work with.  Plus I love Halloween, so your project is right up my alley, cat.   Wink

P.S.  SassetteOPants,  you may want to try Hobby Lobby for some red glitter felt.  They have like 50 different colors to choose from and that's where I like to stock up.

Here's mister Devil man: <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v104/joeyjojo666/lwf0001copy4.jpg"> Next up...a good old fashioned pumpkin. I checked out these Halloween collectibles books yesterday and have all kinds of ideas for new bags. The next one is going to be this super cool owl design. I wish I had a digital camera and then I would post a tutorial. You guys should check out the "Black cat halloween bag (and now a pumpkin too...)" post in this section. I totally missed it and Alison has stunning work.
