I finally got some pictures of the gorgeous embroidered altar cloth that Lylyfai made for my birthday!  The elemental pentacle is in the centre of the cloth.

And on each corner she embroidered god and goddess symbols in metallic thread (the holly and oak king reference is a nice touch)

Thank you so much, I love it since it is so perfect and beautifully made!  You're the best...

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.

ha ha -- that little thing is simply single crochet on a long tail with beads on each end!  I used the link that was on your wist picture for a free pattern and then just winged it with a different size needles and whatever thread I had...seriously, they make great gifts because they look pretty detailed and "fancy shmancy" but they are quick and easy!

Tha hardest part was the tassle  Wink

I should thank YOU for the link--I have made lots of them for little stocking stuffers for all my friends!!

Grin  I completely forgot I put it in my wists!  No wonder I thought it was so cool!

That altar cloth is beautiful.  I love hand work.   Wink

I have updated the main thread ... noting who's sent, received, etc.  Please remember to send your thank you notes via snail mail and PM me when you send and receive them.    It is difficult for me to keep up with the thank you notes if I don't receive PM's about them.  Thanks!

I got my thank you note. It was actually more than just a note. She also sent me a little surprise--a wonderful little butterfly ornament she made. I need to get some pics of it, but haven't had time yet. The card she sent also had a butterfly--which I collect. Smiley

OMG!!!!  I just opened the mail and got an awesome pair of fingerless gloves from Miss_Mermaid_Strikes_Back :DDDD  They are perfectly customized- the design is what I asked for (white box with red cross) on black background and I like the way the red cross fits into the white box.  WOOot!  The gloves are a little big, but I think that's how it's supposed to be- and I like that it gives me room to move my fingers.  I'm wearing them now as I type actually.

Thanks Ariel; my day is made   Grin  I'll get pics up as soon as I can.

Please Quote me whenever you PM me! (so I can see the last message I sent to you)!!! thanks

Yesterday I received from gossamer_gull!  It is the coolest mix of Day of the Dead items:  Baron Samedi, a bunch of stick incense, a dozen tea light candles, and some skeleton candy.  The Baron is awesome - push the stick up, and he appears.  Pull it down, and he goes away.  It even looks like his head and hands will glow in the dark  Grin  My flash washed out his face, but it actually is quite detailed.  Thank you, gossamer_gull!!
