Craftydeb, we adopted Smoke from a PAWS shelter and they told us she was a Catahoula. She gets mistaken for a pit bull a lot, and sometimes a heeler. She loves crochet, too!
We had never heard of Catahoulas before we adopted her, and now I just love spreading the word about them.
She's a super sweet dog--kind of intimidating looking but our neighbor's mini wiener dog kicked her ass when they first met.

I think the catahoulas are pretty common down here - and the heelers.  I didn't know what they were when I was scouring the ads for puppies (I gave up on the shelter for a young poodle - I didn't care about the puppy thing and would actually have rathered a bit older dog - less chewwing.  All the poodles I saw for months of looking were senior and/or blind and with little boys they woudln't understand that their dog can't chase them well or catch a ball or look out to not get stepped on..)

She is gorgeous and looks sweet..

oh and I am going to be making up some peanut butter snacks for buster as soon as this blanket is done - yes, I am going now.. drop off child, come home crochet...

I am collecting quilts, afghans & blankets for those that lost their homes.  Pm me!

CraftyDeb is velly velly good to me - look at all the destashing she destashed all over me!  In addition to something like NINE skeins of great yarn for amigurumis, she added in stickers, a whole slew of stitch markers, some of those oil blotting sheets for my teenager...

First up! A very wonderful package from the ever-wonderful craftydeb! Ye gads what a giving and fantastic Craftster!

24...yes two dozen...Workbasket magazines. My these bring back memories. I have some of my Grandmother's copies but never did get a chance to go back for the whole set of the ones she had.

And then the most comfy and the softest slippers even to have known this earth! Hand made and designed by her! They are simply dreamy.

Thank you so much CraftyDeb! Putting on these slippers was a blissful end to a very stressful day.

Next up! Here is what I sent fadeawaydream, who let me know this evening that she received! Hurrah! I sent er a tree of life pendant, zip bag, and a crochet scarf (Caron simply soft in limelight, dk country blue and dk sage....I really need to increase my square joining skills!! eek).

Final One! Dontlookback also received the makeup bag that I sent her. I did anouther zip bag, but used some satiny quilted lining in hopes that it would help deflect stains from makeup (like when power likes to run amuck and whatnot).
