so, my friend Logan is turning 19 on thursday (it's saturday)
i have nooo idea what to get him, or make him for that matter.

I was thinking maybe getting him a few spices, but i'm poor so it wouldn't be that many. even then i have no idea which ones, concidering i don't even cook myself lol.

so, this kid...
-he likes his music, and has countless CD's
-our "thing" is Barry White. we went on a group trip last year and he made me listen to it, and "can't get enough of your love baby" was stuck in my head the entire weekend. oh the joys.
-he has an identical twin brother, but they hate eachother
-he likes staying fit. honestly, the guy's ripped. it's scary really
-doesn't drive
-likes to think a lot
-he believes in chivalry. he won't let a woman open a door for herself if he can help it, and when he's walking along side you he'll walk on the side closest to the traffic (apparently so that if you get hit it'll hit him first, which i don't really understand cause that just means you'll get rammed with him and not the car..but anyway...)
-he also believes in hard work, and isn't a slacker by any means.
-i've seen him be pretty darn romantic a time or two.
-he's kinda a nerd, i think he used to play DnD with my friends cousin when they were in high-school lol
that's all i can think of right now

if anyone has any ideas, i would be greatly obliged.

sounds like a grade "A" guy!

this doesnt really go along with what you posted about him, but one of my favorite gifts for my guy friends is simple and fun. Buy one of those "friends forever" "you're the best" books from Hallmark or card stores then write, draw and color on the pages with inside jokes that relate to you two.

Its personal and will make him laugh!

Make him something Knightly, armor, toy sword, shield....

It will appeal to his inner geek and his chivalrous attitude.

thanks for the ideas guys.

i like the armour/sword etc. idea, but sadly i don't have time to make something that extreme, and i left my armour making kit at school  Tongue
that's an awesome idea though

i was thinking shot glasses or something, but i don't know what else.

Get some vinly, grommets and thin quilt wadding and make him a quilted one with lacing down the sides so he can get it on and off!

how about a fun "armour'' made out of cardboard with a paper sword?

You can get square photo frames at Wal Mart fairly cheaply. What about scanning the covers of 3 of his all time favourite CD covers, printing them on cardstock, then framing them?

I did this for my BF's son (he has a band and I framed their CD covers) and they turned out great. The frames (with matte) fit CD covers perfectly.

mix CD
of all the amazingly corny/barry white songs that you two love
also, the cardboard knight thing is a fantastic thing to do too
you could trick it out with christmas lights hooked up to a battery box
that ads some serious carboard knight class
good luck!
