Procrastination: art of keeping up with last week

I made this for my mother's birthday (but kept forgetting to post it).  She has rheumatoid arthritis, so I wanted to make it easy for her to open.  I didnt know it was going to be big enough for her glasses too!!  (sorry about the blurry pics)

Thanks!  Now that you mention it, they do look like those cats!   Grin

yes, they do - but dang it, now I've got that "We are siamese if you please..." song going through my head! Augh!

Though looking at the white ones on pink, they remind me of "Duchess" from "the AristoCats" (another Disney - Eva Gabor did the voice for Duchess)

Nice project, nice fabric, and nice decoration - it really enhances the pattern. The pic's a bit fuzzy - is that purple glittery stuff beads, or some sort of shiny cord? Either way it looks great - and yes, I did notice you left the edges of the pink/purple circles unembellished where the cat overlaps the edge. Nice work!

Thanks Hollow Shel!  Cheesy  Now that song is in my head!!   I love Disney movies!

I used purple glittery beads to accent the circle around the white cats, I also used dark blue beads to accent their collars (I know it's hard to see because the pics are a touch fuzzy, I was still getting to know my camera).  There are also small pearly beads covering the whole thing.

Ooh, didn't notice the blue beads before, but I did see the white pearly ones! Nice stuff.
Oh, and don't worry too much about the fuzzy photo. It's better than my last effort with our digital!  Sad (I totally botched photographing some sewing I did and didn't realize it til after I'd mailed out the items. Now I have to wait and hope my friend remembers to photograph them for me - look for me to post some halloween sewing in december... Cheesy)

Thanks!  I need to get back into beading...   I've taken a break from it and feel the need to bead!
