very pretty.
i should print the pattern for a friend who looks a lot like you, and who (you reminded me) would probably love some knucks).

eta: where i live there are no normal edible mushrooms around. but quite a few people do go about an hour out of town to go mushie picking... those mushies.
weird that only hallucinogenic mushrooms grow round out way.

Those kick ass.  Even though I don't like mushrooms.  The embroidery is lovely!

Ah! I'm glad there's at least two of us in the world as well Kiss Bet there are more out there somewhere.

I wonder if many people would be interested in a mushroom-themed swap...? I should maybe add that although I no longer go hunting for the magic kind, just edible ones, I certainly don't have a problem with those who do indulge Grin

I think they're perfect!  They look great.  I was going to try that pattern, but the whole one-finger-at-a-time-then-connect-them kind of threw me off.  Glad they turned out so great for you!

Not a fan of mushrooms personally, but your knucks look great!  WTG on the embroidery!

those are amazing! so amazing that i clicked on the link to view the knitty pattern and then promptly pooped my pants when i realized that i have only only made hats and scarves, and this would probably not be a good pattern to begin with. wowza does it look really hard and confusing. kudos for being able to decipher and replicate that pattern!

Thanks again everyone for the fabulous feedback.

Knitormiss and Letsmacktheknife, it's really not that difficult a pattern if you're used to double pointed needles. I wouldn't recommend it for a first DPN project though -- mittens, wristwarmers or beanies are probably best for getting the hang of knitting in the round, I think. I was terrified of DPNs at first, but once I'd mastered them I never looked back, and now I rarely knit anything in rows.

Lace, though, is a whole other story... <shudder>
