honey trust me they are not vulgar. They are beautiful. My friend Nick and I made and sold a ton of poly clay "Fertility Goddess Pendants" which were abstracted vaginas with the sillioette of of a woman in black over them.  These are very elegant and would work as wall hangings or in a larger project.

See the happy moron, he doesn't give a damn. I wish I could be a moron. My God! Perhaps I am!

I think the whole vagina thing is simply silly - just as celebrating feet or my inner ear would be. It's just a body part.

You can't tell they're vaginas unless you label them so. Still, trendy is trendy, and vaginas apparently sell to the fem crowd right now, so if you've got yourself a new path to the popular, go for it.

I think they're beautiful.

I AM a celebratory type of person. But, not just of vaginas. I just love the human body and how it works. I paint a lot of vaginas and breasts and mouths and elbows and belly buttons and ankles.

I think what you've done is great and I would most certainly buy one!

Mature? Maybe a little. Vulgar? Not at all! They are very well made, and the fact that they are quilts is actually really sweet. I'd hang one on my wall in a heart beat! I also agree with some other folks in that alot of people won't even notice what they are meant to be. They'll just say "Oh! That's so nice. Did you make it?"

They're beautiful and well-made.  You should sell them.

Not vulgar.
Pretty interesting.

Beautiful work! The quilting is great. Is it machine done or hand done?  I love the curved lines.

I like the colors that aren't pink/red too. I like an abstract vulva!

I think that they would sell for sure. Good luck with it!

I LOVE IT!!  In fact, I think I would love it even more as a handbag.  LOL!  They are beautiful.  They really are.

Man, it's be fun to have a blue vulva for a day . . . just for a day, though. Wink

I think they're tasteful. I wouldn't buy one, but that's because I'm not fond of contemporary-style quilts (my mom does the traditional stuff; she's working on a civil war replica quilt and the Dear Jane, among other things, at the moment).

I'd also like to say that I wouldn't like to see them as tissue holders. Would you make a penis-shaped television remote cover? I don't think it's very respectful to the body part.

In short: Representations of vaginas as art, fine by me if it's to your taste. Representations of vaginas as functional art, not so much.

I love my dictionary.
