I'm trying to learn the coptic stitch method of bookbinding, and I am having a hell of a time understanding the existing tutorials I have found on the web and on this site. I don't know if it's a matter of the tutorial-writers' grammar or if it's just that they have simplified it too much so that it doesn't make any sense, but I can't seem to figure it out. Would anyone be able to write out a very explicit and detailed tutorial of the coptic stitch?

I would appreciate it greatly.

Unfortunately, I can't write a tutorial for you (beleive me, you wouldn't understand a word of it), but have you seen this one, yet?

It has got great pictures and I think it's really easy to understand - even for me with my poor English skills! Roll Eyes

I realize this is not very timely, but I just found a coptic stitch video that might be helpful.  It does not show the entire bookbinding process, but it has stitching on a cover and a couple sections.
