I want to knit something, not too complicated (maybe a hat or gloves/mittens) for my boyfriend's mother. She really likes Native American and Asian style clothing, but I am leaning towards doing some sort of fair isle, Native American symbol, hat/gloves. Anyone have any ideas ?

And finally, I want to knit a man's sweater using Lionbrand Jiffy, and I have tried to find a sweater pattern with that gauge but I can't. Any help please?

Thank's for any help.

I just came across this Indian Blanket Fairisle Pattern.  It's just a graph for a design, but it would look lovely on a pillow.

Mistake?  No... it's an Unexpected Design Element.  I put it there on purpose.  *ahem*

I found a chart of common Native American motifs from a sweater pattern. Maybe you could knit a hat and use the motifs? Here's the pattern link:

Although I'd not include the swastikas. I only recently learned that they were used by Native Americans before Nazis used them.
