This could have gone in the purses and bag forum (I used the Jordy pattern), but I mostly wanted to show off my nice stencil Smiley

Thats a great stencil it's so clean! The shape of the bag is great to. Does it carry a lot? Pretty!

Thanks for your feedback!   Cheesy

The stencil was made from a clip art image from this archive: http://www.hasslefreeclipart.com/bw_retro/page1.html . I just increased its size, and cleaned up the stencil a bit by blurring the image then applying a threshold operation in Photoshop (a good trick I discovered for smoothing stencils).

The bag itself is the most straight-forward Jordy you can find. It was my first attempt at making a purse so I followed the tutorial to the letter, dimensions and all, to get some experience before I embark on a more complex project. The whole thing was done with leftovers Smiley. Right now, there's no clasp so it's not really useable as a purse, but I might add buttons on the other side. Or I'll just use it as a basket for guest toiletries.

Thats adorable! But how you did the stencil link wouldn't work for me. Could you post it, please? Great job!
