Well, she wanted a new shirt so I dug through the old shirts waiting to be reconstructed. Found an old hand-made tie-dye and one of her shirts that didnt fit right. so what I was going to do was a cross-over top but that didnt happen and it turned into a dress. BTW, my wife LOVES it  Grin

My beautiful wife modeling her "favorite of all time" dress. Had to dart the tops a bit to hold in everything.

The side panels.  The back panel is a more of a purple tie-dye like the purple on the side panel.

The pics dont show the length well since she just threw it on over her jeans, but it comes to just above the knees.
Thanks for looking and I love comments (boosts the ego *shrug* what can I say)

I have been watching your posts--awesome that you sew for your wife!!  I think it is great not to have gender-based "rules"--hubby cooks and I fix the leaky faucet, ha ha

I enjoy your recons--I have a few tie-dye things that could use sprucing up...

Is the fabric t-shirt fabric for stretch? Or do you have a zipper in the back?

Its all t-shirts sewn together, no zipper. She just pulls it over her head lol. A zipper would work well, especially to fix up the back (just a little problem there, I see it but she doesnt so oh well) but she more than likely wouldnt even use the zipper.

how sweet!

The connotations wearing my nerves thin
Could it be semantics generating the mess we're in?
I understand that language breeds stereotype
But what's the explanation for the malice, for the spite?

i love the tie-dye against the black; it's hard to find something that doesn't look gross with those colors.
