One of these days I may contribute some costume plates of mine. Although I don't usually do those when they aren't due for a project. Now I'm working two medieval costume plates, one for a evil, self involved woman and another for a kind, humble, working class man. Maybe I missed this earlier in the thread, but are you guys using watercolor or what? I draw my figures first in my sketchbook, then I draw my costumes on tracing paper. Then I copy them with a copy machine onto bristol board (thickest that will go through a copy machine without any trouble is 90lb.) I usually use watercolor and highlight it with acrylic. I'm not sure how I can show you guys them, since they're too big to scan.

Oh man, if I had found this thread earlier I could posted about this campaign earlier! :/

But anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys would be willing to help me out?
Here's the story: My name is Tessa, I'm 16, and I'm very dedicated to pursuing a career in apparel design. It would mean so much for me to win both this campaign on brickfish.com, and the scholarship money, to be used toward attending a rigorous pre-college art program this summer. If you have a heart for such things, please take just a minute of your time and check out my designs. There are only four more days left in the contest, and I'm currently a close 2nd and 3rd. You guys can also look at the ranking and see what you think :/ the girl that's in first right now-- her sister has posted links to her designs ALL over the website and I just don't have the time to even think of doing that.

Thank you so much & God bless. I truly appreciate your compassion Smiley

Wow, I haven't visited the art forum in a while and find this doodling discussion is still alive and doodles are being added!  Cheesy

I haven't doodled a thing since before Christmas. I should start again. Lets keep adding our doodles! Thanks to Racehorse and ogle!

Loukr, I really don't have a particular dress in mind when I doodle. Actually, I never know how it turns out 'til I'm done. Cool That's a cute design in your picture. I wish I could make something that nice.

Anyways, trying to revive this a little.
If anyone has a deviantArt account they're starting up another round of Project Design.
If you aren't familiar with it, it's like an online Project Runway.
However, you only design, you don't *have* to sew anything.
Though I'm trying to learn how so I can sew my designs.
I mean that's the point right.

Thank you, PlaysWithFire, for keeping the fashion doodling session alive. Grin

Wow, I had to look you up at deviant art and the project design you wrote about. You do have an amazing collection of art, way beyond my habitual doodles.

So maybe it's time I add a doodle to this growing doodle session. Here'e the basic doodle:

And here is is with an attempt to color it:

Happy doodling!  Cheesy

PlaysWithFire, awesome drawing. The coiffure is lovely.

idk, whether to even post these, they're pretty old, around December '06, I think. But here goes. (I don't like how they came out scanned)

Kool Thing (Sonic Youth inspired)

Mascara (you can't see it, but her mascara is supposed to be bleeding)

Get The Guns Out (The Kills inspired)

sorry they're so big.. photobucket was resizing them to a minute scale! lol these are designs for my FMP at college, a section about 1880 fashion, crossed over with todays fashion, and also.. I thought peacocks looked like they were wearing bustles when their tails are down, so I based these 3 on peacocks!! lol
