I like your cemetery photos!  I have a strange fascination with cemeteries.  They're so full of history.  I love the one with the tree and the cross.  I think you could do really neat things with it if you cropped it.

ps. I went to Arcata a few years ago.  Really beautiful place!

Found these two in my strawberries today, and reminded me of the Jolly Green Giant and Sprout.  Smiley

Don't you love summer and fresh fruits and veggies.

Played with contrast also.

Some of my most recent ventures into sports photography...it's hard!!

So I've actually got loads more, but unless you're into wakeboarding, it's not really so interesting.  Sports photography is awesome, because you're forced to anticpate the moment!  Something like wakeboarding made it really easy for me to anticipate since I do it as well.  Only problem with being the camera kid is that no one takes pictures of you when you're behind the boat!! Tongue

It's a moat.  Filled with badgers.

Taken July 4th at my boyfriend's sister's house in the country.

This last one was taken outside of my house in 2006

I wish there was an easier way to keep up on commenting everyone's wonderful work. This thread moves so fast!

I love this portrait of my friend, Morgan, but I wish that little kid that was with his hillbilly family running amuck wasn't in the shot. And that I saw her handbag was where it was. Oooohhhh well.

These are of Morgan's cat, Gato.

KiwiQ: I think your action shots are really great! Like you said, you have to anticipate for action and the ropes on that last one are just captivating. Nicely caught.

cigarettesandvalentines: Love your shots. I really like the one of the bird with the dead grass clippings. Says a lot. I'd love to see the opposite focus on it, too, and see the fence in the rear of the headstone. How do these look in b&w?! Very curious.

try.fail.repeat: I don't know how you got those dragonflies to sit for you. Nice. I am nuts about the water shots. The light on the pads and around the leaves is just great.

I watched this guy emerge for about an hour today near my compost pile:

There are others there but note the last cicada isn't the one I saw emerge. After an hour on my knees and elbows, I let the other guy fly his maiden voyage solo. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/pictures?a=67b0de21b34573284536&v=67b0de21bd266996459c
