I erased the people and fences out of the picture.
Ha!  I can remember when I finally got to see Stonehenge just seeing the fences and the keep out signs and thinking 'bummer', because they did not exactly add to the ambience... your photo gives it back a bit of majesty.  Sadly, my visit was pre-digital photography, so I can't edit it - but your photo is very evocative, especially since you got heavy skies as a backdrop.

Glad you like them...that last one was an accident, actually.  I turned around to get a shot as we were leaving the arboretum, but I didn't have time to properly set it up (you can't tell a three and a half year old little girl that she has to wait to go to the bathroom because you're being artsy), hence the really clear tree branches over a very fuzzy background.  It was a good accident though, 'cause it looks pretty neat.

I can't wait to go back there!  So many pretty spots to photograph, but a lot of shots had to be skipped thanks to the insanely bright noonday sun...it's hard to avoid having everything look like it's radioactively glowing Tongue

Aliastriona, I kinda like the last picture like that. It adds... I dunno. I kinda am reminded of fantastical things, like the White Rabbit's yard from Alice in Wonderland. That's meant to be a compliment.  Wink

This is my daddy and our dog, Bebe. (I hate the date... but oh well)

This is my best friend Alex pondering her lunch our senior year, in a burst of sunshine. (I love it and her, so I had to snap the pic)

I used to work at a Firehouse Subs, which has a counter with hot sauce bottles lined up down the length, and we would make sandwiches behind the counter. The light used to overwhelm the little shop.

More from said job (it has a deep, significant and beautiful meaning and portrayal of symbolism, dost thou think?)

Another very good friend:

Another picture of Alex, sitting in daffodils in a courtyard at the Harvard Science-y-technological place. Smiley I dunno, it was in Harvard somewhere! And there's daffodils! Sheesh.

I'll stop for now... I don't wanna... but I will.

Oh, and I'm wondering what I should do about the visible hands in the sunglasses pic... how could I reduce the reflection in the glasses without reducing the face under it? Oh, lordy.

It's not as easy as it was
or as difficult as it could be
for the Samurai in autumn

Photography is my first love...here are a few of mine.

I love abandoned places...a lot. A little too much, according to my husband.   Cheesy
