OMG! this rocks this rocks this rocks!  Annakin is the best ever!

And like a downward smoke, the slender stream
Along the cliff to fall and pause and fall did seem.

I have one completed costume & one to go!

My son is going to be Anakin from Star Wars Episode I.  I made the entire costume & the helmet.  The goggles are welding goggles that I altered.  He isn't actually unhappy in the photos, he's just trying to look serious.  Wink

Costume consists of: tunic, pants, 2 belts, arm & leg wraps, spatz, hood, goggles & helmet.

My daughter is going to be Rogue from the beginning of X3.  I haven't quite finished her costume yet, though!

Anakin Costume Thread

Eek. Oh my. That is one amazing Anakin costume. I love X-Men, I can't wait to see the Rouge costume. I was thinking of being Storm for Halloween, but I ended up making a space-ranger costume.

Thanks everyone!  My son is really thrilled with his costume.  I want to mention again that I have a thread for the Anakin costume, just so we don't overwhelm the Halloween scrapbook  Wink

I'll add the Rogue costume to my first post as soon as it's done... hopefully this weekend!   See more of my costumes here!

I've made my costume!  This is the first garment, much less, costume I have ever made.  I traced lines from a previous dress to make the pattern.  The stitching is off and it's a looooong way from perfect but overall, I'm pretty happy with it!

Thats pretty good for your first try at garments. It look very adorable. I especially like the skirt.

I'm in the process of making my sexy warrior outfit so I'll post that when the time comes about.

Happy Halloween ya'll,

I made a Shower Costume all from shower supplies (mostly).

Here's the link to my post if you want to see a few more pics and read more about this!:

Inspired by Project Runway, of course.

Here are our completed costumes!  We wore them to a friend's Halloween party this past Saturday.

^^ My fiance in his costume (minus the moustache).  Not too much crafting here, other then adding the "M" to the hat, and big yellow buttons on the overalls.  I bought him white gloves too, but we forgot them at home!

^^ My Princess Peach costume.  I had white opera-length gloves too, and forgot to wear them as well!!  (DUH!)

I used Simplicity 4015 for my dress.  The tulle crinoline/tutu thing I made from scratch (used the neckline of a huge Tshirt for the waistband, and sewed the tulle to it.  The star purse is fleece with felt eyes, and it has a handle sewn inside.  The crown was a cheap sequin crown that I covered with gold fabric then added a felt toadstool and rhinestones.

And here's the thread I started about them when they were WIP:
