This is my own recipe and one of my favorite for my lips. This stays on top of your lips for a short time, then smooths in. Keeps lips soft and silky. Perfect scent for the fall.

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons Sweet Almond Oil (or other like carrier oil)
1 teaspoon Beeswax - grated or pellets
1/2 - 1 teaspoon Honey
1/4 teaspoon *Pumpkin Spice (found in the spice aisle, of course!)
1 vitamin E capsule (opt)

1. Melt carrier oil and beeswax in a double boiler. As soon as beeswax is melted, remove from heat.

2. Whisk in honey (and vit. E). Let cool slightly.

3. Add spices when mixture can hold it. Mix well.

4. Add to container. Let cool and harden.

Yields one container full.

*If you don't have Pumpkin Spices on hand, you can make it by mixing:

4 parts Cinnamon
2 parts Ginger
1 part Allspice
1 part Nutmeg
1 part Cloves

Hope you like my recipe.

Both can be found at health food stores. Wegmans has a health food section with them in it. Sometimes at craft stores. I've found beeswax at Michael's and ACMoore in the soap making section. If all else fails, online.

No. It doesn't burn. I tend to be on the sensitive side and it's never bothered me. Of course, if you're real sensitive to any of the spices take care.

I also make my own lip balms and I cannot get my honey to stay mixed in when I make something with it. It always seperates after they harden? Any ideas?
