This gorgeous spooky brooch features a midnight blue disk of wool blend felt embroidered with a lovely spider's web in metallic silver folss. Dangling from the center on a 3.5" silver plated chain is a beautiful brown patterned spider hand painted on shrink plastic.

The felt circle is approximately 2" in diameter and the spider measures just under that. A bar pin has been secured with Fabric-Tac and sewn between 2 layers of felt to ensure this beauty lasts.

That looks great! i love the web.

what type of shrinky plastic did you use, was it just the normal clear, or the textured type?

Um...I believe the clear is textured and that's what I used but I left it in the oven for longer than normal and all the threads you get in the clear kind practically dissappeared.

I'm interested in personal swaps -- I love bracelets & necklaces and I don't know how to make them.

Waht a pretty pin. I have a pin with a spider that I just bought recently but it's no where near as neat as yours.
