when wearing your own beanie hats?  I have short curly hair, the very longest bits just touching my shoulders and the shortest about the tops of my ears.  and it makes me look like a hippie, the lsd kind.  I don't mind looking like a hippie, but that's just too much.

What other projects have you made that turned out to fit/you made in awesome yarn/looks SO cute...but it makes you look like a tool for whatever reason?

and I love hats.  I'm so distressed.

I used to have really short hair, and my hair is super thick, so when I wore hats about an inch or so poofed out at the bottom, not only did it look ridiculous with the hat on, but once I took the hat off my hair was dented. So for the longest time I had a vendetta against hats. About a year ago I decided to let my hair grow out, it's about shoulder length now and I recently decided to try out wearing hats again (I had made about three for myself, heh)  and they actually looked nice! I also made them pretty big so they wouldn't smush down my hair or make it poof at the bottom.
