Hello!  Does anyone have directions on how to make the felt name books?  I think they'd be a cute baby shower gift for all of the people I know that are expecting right now.  I guess I am really curious on how you bind the entire book together.

Thank you for your help.

I'm interested, too, about the binding.  Smiley

for this book by annam42 she explains:

i'm going to try to explain, but i'm not sure it'll make sense... i can't really show, since you can't see it with the way the binding is now.

the binding is two pieces of felt, identical rectangles - one for sewing the pages onto, and the other covering the stiching of the first one (so the purple is the second piece in my book). each page is attached to the first piece of felt with a running stitch that makes use of the blanket stitching that goes all around it. in other words, the running stitch goes through the loops of the blanket stitch on the side that needs to be attached to the binding. i spaced the pages about half an inch apart to allow room for them to open flat.

does that make sense?

Looking to do a personal swap for any boyish nursery print flannels! I can send polymer clay charms, purses, paper crafts, microscope slide pendant kit, and a lot more.
