Fabulous! I like the colors and design a lot. How many strands of thread did you use? I imagine that it would be hard to make such a detailed design without really skinny thread. Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks for your kind words!  As for my thread, I used 2 strands of embroidery floss for the whole project.

Oh wow, that is truly beautiful. Very delicate needlework.

I am in awe, I would never have the patience to do something like that.

Well, there's a reason it's only a monogram of their last initial and not their first, middle, and last!   Wink haha  Most of the time I find embroidering to be therapeutic, but there's a limit to my patience as well!

your work is  exquisite! you've given me something to aspire to.

not that i will attempt anything nearly so delicate and detailed, but now i want to try embroidering on bed linen too, maybe even for a gift for my mother. Is there a type of sheet you recommend, in terms of fiber and thread count? I can use anything for my home, but if it's a gift i want it to look and feel as good as possible. (if there is regular ironing involved after each wash, though, i'm out!)

thanks. and can't wait to see what you post next, either.

I've heard that a lot of the "high end" sheets and such with high thread counts are very very hard to embroidery - like can't pull the needle through.  So go with something middle of the road!  Shocked)

I love it!  I did this for my sister last year, but yours is a lot better than mine.  I am so jealous.

Wow! Beautiful job. I'm so impressed. Great color choices too. I bet your parents love it! I too am curious how the design came about.

WOW! That is awesome! I was just telling someone yesterday that there was no way I could do a whole monogram by hand without it looking wonky! Maybe now I'll give it a shot!

Now....where did I put all of my patience....it has to be around here somewhere....I just haven't had any for soooo long I just must have misplaced it right???  Wink
