The purple fabric is actually purple in real life.  This is actually much nicer than the pics show.  I used a black lace edging instead of hemming the top or bottom.  Of course I forgot to buy cord for the thing and this was all I could find to lace up the back.  The reverse is a dark blue that probably wouldn't have shown up any better.

I used plastic from those plastic signs ("no trespassing," "beware of dog," etc) since my husband already had some to use for warhammer modelling stuff.  I made sure to put in a 1/4" strip of plastic between the grommits and the edge of the corset.

A pity my hips are so small or it might have really given me an hourglass figure.

My husband had to harness me up in this thing. He's so sweet, he told me that he could have laced it tighter if I had found longer laces.  Haha.

Thanks for letting me share, and thank you again for the tutorial!

Great tutorial! I just finished a corset I made using it. I messed up somehow when I measured so it's a bit short and doesn't go completely around as much as I'd like.

Maybe just a bit short, but it's the perfect length around in my opinion.  Very cute:)

Your tutorial inspired me to do this so I'm in the middle of making one at the moment, I'll post pics when I'm done hopefully, but I'm out of eyelets dammit! I hate it when you're dead into making something and you just don't have the equipment (or the time to get it) I'll get some soon hopefully!
This rocks, thanks!

okay, so here's my version! Its dark grey suede with white thread & ribbon, and using old milk cartons for boning!
It looks like one side is wonky but it was just the way the pic was taken.  I just wore it to pick y sister up form school  and she said 'i like it, but why are you dreesed as snow-white?' Haha, love it.

wow!  what a nice corset, and you explained it so thoroughly!  i tried to make one once for a can-can costume for hallowe'en, and it ended up looking better inside-out Sad it didn't turn well and the boning was a bit too long so it crumpled up on the inside.  ill definitely try your pattern though!  you look incredible in it, by the way.  thanks for sharing!
