I made some cute stuff over the past year for myself that I'm finally getting around to posting. Here goes it:

This was a plain black American Apparel scarf that I handsewed these buttons on. I put the buttons on both ends of the scarf and double sided the buttons so that when it sways in the wind it still looks cute.

Credit goes to Explodingdog.com. The first guy says "this grapefruit sucks", the second says "don't say that!" (The title is "God was a grapefruit." I love the humor.)

Credit goes to Threadless.com. Classic design, but I wanted to mix it up a bit so I sewed on an old cut up red shirt for the blood and painted the heart in white.

A pair of pants jeans I altered. The front has a picture I hand painted that the graffiti artist Banksy did and some spirals. The back pocket has a sewn and painted picture from Threadless.com.

A pair of jeans I did for a friend. The butt and crotch were ripping which is why they are so ostentacious. It's all hand sewn and stuff. It's cute, not my style, but cute. I might have posted them before. I'm not quite positive.

A pair of jeans I did for my friend Rae. All hand sewn once again, which is killer on the pockets. She ripped her butt pocket so I put some cute polka dotted fabric in and added a pretty flower and mushroom based on some True Religion jeans. The button on the flower is my favorite part. The lyrics are from Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's and Happiness Is A Warm Gun by the Beatles.

And I'm spent. I'm not an amazing hand sewer, but I'm working on it. Comments, criticism, anything ... It's all greatly appreciated. I really do listen to what you guys say.

I really love the star idea. They look great  Grin

& the heart doesn`t even look handpainted on there. I thought it was silkscreened  Tongue

Good job on all of them!

OMG pleasepleaseplease let me steal your exploding dog idea!! I was making stencils of some of the comics but patches are so much cuter!

I don't even type 'omg' but this deserved it.
also the threadless pic you used on the jeans is one of my ultimate threadless faves, and you painted it perfectly.
ALSO, I stenciled that banksy pic too. it's purtyful and has an awesome meaning.
ALSO, you rock, plain and simple. your recons are always amazing.

ok, I'm done.
