In honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day, I finished up this fingerless mittens I've been working on. (They're for my brother for Christmas.)

I used Knit Picks Palette, size 1, 2 and 3 needles, and this pattern.

I knit them in the round, so I had to do the skull and crossbones using duplicate stitch which took for-freakin-ever!  Roll Eyes So now the question is - are they truly a FO? Should I put something on the other mitten? (only the left one has the skull right now) If so - what? The same pattern? (Please, I really hope not) A different one? What one?

All feedback welcome! Thanks in advance!

you could always add an applique to the other, if you want...like a felt parrot or sword...or you could embroider a treasure map...or, you could leave them as is...i kind of like them as is...

Shiver me timbers ... those mitts look perfect to take the chill off a salty sea dog!

You could do an X marks the spot motif on the other ... just an X in one corner and a wavy dashed line around. Wouldn't take a whole lot of time at all! Yarrrn!

(I think you have a very similar couch to my parents'.)

(Happy birthday, Clementine13, yeh scallywag!)

Ahoy, matey!! Those be some awesome mitts!! Grin

Okay, I'm back to normal now... an anchor motif would look good on the other mitt, but it looks good plain as well!

Yarrrrr, I be liking the gloves as shown.  I think it's cool having one solid and the other with the skull and crossbones.
