I recently bought the caron simply soft shadows yarn and have started making the simple shrug pattern on it. I was just wondering if anyone else has made/ is making this pattern? I am sort of still new to knitting at least with garments. i was just wondering how it looks finished if anyone has made it.

That looks very similar to the one I am attempting except the caron pattern has long sleeves. I may attempt the short sleeve one when I finish the other. Here's a pic of the caron.com shrug http://caron.com/yarns/shadows.html the yarn sort of stripes itself gradually.

I love that one.  Maybe after you try the short sleeve, the long one wouldn't be difficult.
