Love the mermaid!  Beautiful!

And cynlynn, the grandfather tattoo is so sweet -- I really like the style of the drawing.

THANKS for all the compliments!  Smiley

I can't stop looking at it Cheesy

the tattoo is based on the song "bb requin" by the french singer france gall. it's a song from the sixties and if you translate the german version of the lyrics to english, this is the result:

Come with me, I lure you into the deep water
come with me, because I want you only for me alone.
I love you so much I could eat you,
I am a robber and a thief.
Come with me down on the sea-bottom.
I have a heart full of love, and a mouth for kissing
No one can disturb us both on the deep sea-bottom.

I devour you with skin and hair, because I am a shark fish baby.
A baby, baby, baby, because I am a shark fish baby.
Come with me, do not look at the beach beauties.
Come with me, because I do not bear competition.
Come with me, leave the girls in the sand behind.
Come with me, because I want you only for me alone.

do you have the 2+2=5 tattooed in there?

if you do, that's pretty awesome. for extremely large values of 2.

Looking for dead pointe shoes.

I've lurked for way too long; you all have gorgeous tattoos! I want to break the bank just idly scrolling through.

So, here are mine. I have to provide links, because I'm a craftster noob:

This is an american robin, which is an important bird to me for several reasons, including a rather traumatic childhood memory of watching (in despair) a magpie steal from a robin's nest...poor thing! It's on my left hip.

This one's, as you can see, on my right shoulder. In case you were wondering, birds are significant to me in general because they have the good sense to fly away when things are impossible (i.e. heading south for the winter). They represent this sort of ultimate freedom and ability to go wherever you want - wherever you need to be. I'm definitely someone who needs to fly away sometimes Smiley

You can't really see these ones in full because it's effing hard to photograph your arm, even if it's your left one Wink These three hummingbirds were designed by my dear friend, who also designed the swallow on my shoulder.

Keep posting, friends, I love seeing all these lovely works of art!

Here's my new little piece. It's on my ankle. It was drawn and tattooed by Andy Lowlife at Santa Cruz Tattoo Co. in Santa Cruz, CA.
