I got my amazing package from emiko today!!! It was her first swap and I have to say she did an excellent job!

First up: A stuffed dino turned into a purse!!!

Basil approves!!!

I collect piggy banks that aren't shaped like pigs, so emiko found and decoupaged a fat cat bank!

We both have a love of trashy romance novels.  She picked up a double novel!!!

and on the other side:

I'm excited to read about Freida and her song!!!

Some cute yarn:

and a sparkle pen:

This swap was so fun. Thanks emiko!!!

How cool are these?
--a tape purse with pompom handles!! I never had one before and it is so nice!
--a cat plushie (and I made her a dog plushie with dollar store stuff)
--a fab scarf. If dollar stores are like this in Washington State, we should ALL go!
--ditto on the long necklace--dollar store?Huh For REAL???
Thank you so much for swapping with me!
Pictures posted below of the swap I received and the one I sent.

hehe, when I went shopping for stuff I had a list in hand of things ambraqi liked, and saw the dino stuffie, and it was like a light went off in my head! I only wish the execution could have been a bit better Tongue The yarn was extra from another craft I made for her, but it'll be there soon!

Oh, and for kicks, the cat bank in it's original glory:

Not very thrilling or nice to look at, so hopefully my decoupage made him a bit more catchy Cheesy

And of course i had to get a romance novel Wink The fact that it was two-in-one made it perfect (kinda like the placenta shampoo, hahaha)

And Basil is adorable! I used to have a dwarf hamster just like him named Eggroll <3 Food-named hamsters win!

-a bit broken right now. taking a 'break' (har har har) from crafting for a bit.

Everyones stuff looks great.....My partner and I are at the mercy of
customs....the whole Canada-US thingy....although the lady at my
post office said she would get it in like 4-6 days...lol....I hope she's right.....but I kinda doubt it?? Huh Cry
Hey, but on an upscale....non swap related note....We just found my glasses that have been missing for almost 6 months...and 3
pairs of tweezers,2 nail clippers, one nail file, some loose change,
2 pairs of scissors,my gold earrings and some sparkley bits of paper that apparently,Houdini..the master of disappearing...evil Tongue cat..decided should live behind/under the couch...And he was
Quite upset when we removed his packrat like nest.
LMAO...least I can see now.....wonder how my crafts will look now  Wink

Wow! How did I miss everything?  That tape purse with the pompom handle is just too cool and that dino purse? Brilliant!  And that kitty piggy bank DEFINATLY looks a lot better all decoupaged.

I think my partner fell off the face of the earth so I'm gonna post pics I (luckly) took of what I sent.  There are two things I didn't take pics of but that was a packet of like 100 pages of different sized origami paper and this "craft tote" (which I didn't decorate) that looked pretty cool.

First Thing
My partner had mentioned that she wanted to move out within a year. I remembered that when my girlfriend moved out of her parents house had a dickens of a time finding salt and pepper shakers that didn't cost an arm and a leg...so I made this as a kind of pre-pre-pre appartment warming gift.

Second Thing
I saw this REALLY boring sword.  My partner said that she's always putting stuff on her walls cause her walls are pink and she hates it.  So I did this with the sword and sheath (I included two multi-teired door hangers to hang the sword and sheath from on her door).  This project took me a while to do cause I had to wait for things to dry all the time.  It was so hard to part with it after all that work  Cheesy

The Sheath:

Third Thing:
So I had a really good find at the dollar store and saw this wooden box. I love woodburning and staining boxes so I had all that stuff for it (the box was orginally a very light balsawood type thing).  The only thing is that I ran out of time to line it so it's just plain inside.  My partner said she liked Egyptian themed stuff soooooo
