about two years ago I made a dear friend of mine a purse out of a box from Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. It was okay, not the greatest purse ever, but functional.

Her boyfriend is about to go on tour in Japan and my friend wanted to bring a gift to the promoter of her boyfriend's shows. She wanted something that represented the Pacific Northwest (where we all live) but didn't want to do something typical.

Portland, Oregon is the second largest consumer of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer outside of Milwaukee. So the Japanese concert promoter is getting her very own (new and improved) Pabst Blue Ribbon purse.

Its made from a few boxes (three or four), some refrigerator tubing, some blue ribbon (get it?), blue fabric, some tape (masking and duct) and a crap-ton of hot glue.

Whaddya think?

I love it! I make beer box bags all the time. I love the 'cap' closure! Wish i thought of that.  8)d

That's awesome.

Could you possibly make a tutorial for how you made it?

as for a tutorial? I could certainly try. Maybe on my day off, or next week...

Do you need a cute purse to go with that outfit?

That purse is so cute!  I would love it if you did a tutorial.  My husband works for Miller Brewing and I think it would be cool if I could carry a purse made from a Miller box to some of the Miller parties and functions they have.

I'm interested in personal swaps -- I love bracelets & necklaces and I don't know how to make them.
