So at about 6 a.m. this morning I had a dream that I presented this HUGE bag of wedding day goodies to my fiance at the rehearsal dinner that I had called the "Groom's Wedding Day Survival Kit."

In it I had a bunch of cute things in it.  Socks that had a label that says "Just in case you got cold feet."  Breath mints or gum that said "For that big moment"  a hankie ("just in case", a black umbrella that I had written "groom" on (we're getting married in November.  You know it'll either rain or snow) two t-shirts:  one for when he goes out after the dinner (he and the boys are going bowling) that says "Game Over" with two little video game people (bride and groom) and the other for the day after the wedding (and forever!) that says "Under New Management since November 18th, 2006."  Then in a smaller black bag (covered in top secret, confidential stickers mind you) goodies for the honeymoon and wedding night.

Can you think of anything else that might be cute?  I want to like write up a little speech or poem or something and hand him each item.  It'll take a bit of time but it'll be when people are eating.  Plus I think it's a cute idea.  Any other ideas for what I should put in the kit?

Thanks in advance!

Only if you'd be ok with it, but you could add a lil bottle of booze aka "Nerve Tonic" , I'd def add breath mints for the big day.

But really, the whole thing sounds AWESOME!

I don't have any ideas for you right now, but I wanted to let you know that I think the t-shirt ideas are awesome.

Fantastic idea!

How about adding a phrase book, like people get for foreign travel?  In it could be useful phrases like - "Yes, dear" and "You always look beautiful to me" and "Let me do that for you".

On a practical note, he should have some safety pins and double-stick tape in his pocket so you don't become "unwrapped" before the day is over!

So much inspiration, so little time

This is such a great idea- I'm totally stealing this. I love the "under new management" T. And safety pins are ALWAYS a good idea to have.

That's funny, I've just been putting together a survival kit/gift for my fiance! I culled some of the ideas from the wedding essential list that is posted on here already. I included:
mini deoderant
mini toothpaste
gas pills (!)
gel insoles
shout wipes
nice soap (from etsy)
"hangover" pills
mini bottles of whiskey
and... An old Playboy feature the girls of James Bond that I bought on ebay (he's a big James Bond fan)

I'm planning on putting it in his room the night before the wedding.. he's staying with friends, so they'll all get to see it.
