after seeing my t-shirt quilt i made myself.
my aunt requested that i made one as a christmas gift for my uncle.
therefore, she gathered his collection of t-shirt with one reoccuring theme
his favorite comic strip characters from <b>bloom county</> or more known now as Opus the penguin and Bill the Cat.
Unfortunatly, she didnt give me enough t-shirts to get an even sized quilt alternating
so therefore i created the top two corner squares from sharpies, paint, and tracing.
the quilt is tied and top stitched around the edge, then around the inside of the border around the squares... well, rectangles.
i feel weird about this quilt... because its wider than it is long.
lap quilt for two? i'd say so  Grin

lol
my aunt has been collecting them
and they were extremely worn down.
one of the bottom ones (where the image is in the seam)
had words above it, but they were pulling apart and had large holes.

you can only hope he didnt wear those out in public when they were in that condition!  Tongue

Fab!  My son wants this quilt!  Guess I'll have to make him one like it.  Hope you don't mind?

Wow! If my brother saw this he would go crazy! He is Opus. I love the bright red used with the T-shirts.
