I just made it up using granny squares.  Another poster posted about a headband she made for her daughter.  I couldn't see the picture very well but I thought a headband would be cool so I created one. Smiley  Thanks for letting me share!

That is adorable! I love the pink yarn. I bet it would also make a great belt.

Nope, I just made up the pattern myself. Smiley  Oh and for the one who wanted to see it on a head. LOL  Perhaps I shall do that soon! Smiley

Hee hee, I know I'm nerdy. It's still really cute! Where's the head? Everything looks better on a model. Cheesy

awh, that's really pretty. Is crocheting harder than knitting? Crocheting looks more retro, maybe I should try it sometime.

Artistrachelmarie, I don't think crocheting is any harder than knitting once you get the hang of it. Like knitting, the hard part is just making your first row or two, and once you get yourself comfy with holding the needle and yarn, it gets a whole lot easier. I just taught a few of my friends to do it, and it only took an hour or two of practice before they were all working away at their own granny squares. Not bad, eh? If you go to www.crochet.about.com, there are some great resources for teaching yourself to do it. You should try it!

Oh i have to make one of those, it's so cute. I start a new job this week where I have to where my hair back, which I hate doing, so this headband may help ease the pain lol. And I demand to see a head pic as well lol.

And just adding on to what IndiaRomeo said, I agree that crochet isn't harder than knitting, if not easier. It only took a little while for me to get the hang of it. I gave myself a refresher on how to crochet this summer using a couple of websites and the dishcloth pattern that came with my yarn. I hadn't crocheted since I was little.

The sites I found most helpful:
