My boyfriend plays in a D&D larp and they needed a dryad for a recent campout. Here's what I came up with:

Can you tell I had fun modeling it? The dress was made without a pattern. It's just a square skirt with a tube top and braided straps. I'm particularly proud of the colors because it was my first attempt at dip dying and I'm thrilled with the way it turned out. All the flowers and leaves were a pain in the booty to sew on but I think it was worth it.

It is beautiful and goes perfect with your hair/complexion! I think your boyfriend will be most pleased. The dip dying looks great.

WOOOOWWW!! Thats the most beautiful nymph/dryad/faerie/ type costume i have ever seen. After the D&D thing, I would take off the flowers and leaves and wear it just as a dress. The dying looks great, too. You did an amazing job.  Cheesy

Look at me, I'm on TV, it makes up for the shortcomings of being poor. Now I'm in a million pieces picked up for deliberation by the people listening at home, by the people watching on the telly...

I have to disagree with yarncookie-please keep all the leaves and flowers on! It gives the dress something special and you spent ALL that time sewing them on.

I agree with The Jenya...the leaves and the flowers give the dress an unusual twist.  The shape and the dip dying is gorgeous.
