Swap name: Wishlist Swap - September 2006
Craftster member who is organizing this swap:  Whiskey
Sign-up date range: The end of August!  9/30/06
Date to send item by: Must send out item within 2 weeks of picking a partner
Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): No WAY!!
Non-U.S. participants allowed? Of course!
All ages allowed? Or 18+?  Yes, just make sure its ok with the parental units!
Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders" list and will not allow those members to participate: YES

This is really different from the unconditional swap, so PLEASE READ ALL THE DETAILS BEFORE YOU JOIN! This is a wishlist swap; post a list and you may receive it!    Your list will need to consist of where you are from (PLEASE put your state and/or country), crafted items that you would like (it helps greatly to include links to photographs, tutorials, etc.) and/or crafting supplies.

FIRST: You will look through the lists of the people who have already posted.  You will THEN pick someone from there to craft for.

SECOND: As soon as you have messaged me, the organizer, telling me who you would like to craft for I will tell you that you can post a list.

- to be able to post a list you have to craft for at least ONE person
- there must be AT LEAST 5 items on your list
- you can be picked as many times as you have items on your list
- if you have been picked 3 times, you have to pick one other person to craft for, then you can be picked more..

Person B wants to have their list posted so they PM the organizer with their questionnaire answers, and what they want to craft from Person As list.  The organizer will then PM person B, give them person As address, then they can then post their list.

Person C wants to have a list up, so they choose from A OR B, PM the organizer their answers, the name of the person they want to craft for, and what theyre going to craft.   Then they wait until the organizer sends them the address of whom they have picked.  Then they can post their list.

Say person A has been chosen 3 times. For them to be picked more, they have to pick one more person to craft for.  The organizer (me) will let you know when you need to pick someone else if you want to receive more items.

This is different than the unconditional swap!!!
The unconditional swap is not expecting anything in return for what you have made. A lot of people post their lists without even making anything for someone, so to be able to post your list (and receive) you must craft for at least ONE person!

*This starts over with each new month!*

The List (I know its long, but Im trying to mix things up a little.):

:: I would seriously give my left kidney for one of these...a re-constructed horror movie t-shirt. I love hoodies but ANYTHING would do. I also don't have a preferance to movies, as long as it's horror....I REALLY want one of these! Here are a few examples (PM me for measurements): http://cgi.ebay.com/Horror-Gothic-NIGHT-OF-THE-LIVING-DEAD-Top-Punk-DIY-M_W0QQitemZ200021111507QQihZ010QQcategoryZ63868QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

:: Anything with an apple theme. Here are a few things that have caught my eye recently: http://www.fredflare.com/customer/product.php?productid=2016&cat=284, http://etsy.com/view_item.php?listing_id=319923, http://www.fredflare.com/customer/product.php?productid=2147&cat=108, http://www.fredflare.com/customer/product.php?productid=2077&cat=254&page=7, http://www.etsy.com/view_item.php?listing_id=219925

:: A messenger bag. I really need one for school stuff since I just started back to college. I like these, but would love anything that is sturdy and cute. http://pixelgirlshop.com/item.php?item_id=616&category_id=65, https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=111925.0, https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=106366.0, https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=98746.from1152045969;topicseen#new, https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=96206.msg910913#msg910913

:: YARN! My stash is pretty tiny due to my very small income.

:: A panta or better yet, a crochet pattern for making one. Thank you to stellato_escuro for the panta. Im still looking for a pattern, though.

:: A ribcage shirt. Like the one seen here, but maybe on more of a wifebeater type shirt or better yet, a long sleeve t-shirt instead of spaghetti straps. http://www.8ballwebstore.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1019

:: Anything to show my rat mommy pride (shirt, pins, bag, jewelry..anything!) If you need pictures of them, please PM meI have tons.

:: Something for my little ratties. They love treats and crawling around inside blankets and old t-shirts, so a nice fleece rattie blanket would be greator just anything you think theyd enjoy. Smiley Thanks to eternal_ukyou for making them a rat blankie..they can always use more goodies, though. Smiley

:: A cute coffee cup. Once it starts to cool down again here in the South, I love to drink coffee and have never really had a cute coffee cup. http://www.fredflare.com/customer/product.php?productid=1602&cat=254&page=15, http://www.etsy.com/view_item.php?listing_id=300683

:: Anything American Psycho themed. I love both the book and the movie.

:: Amigurumi patterns of any sort. Im addicted.

:: Any sort of soft drink that is pretty much specific to your country/region. I have a really bad soft drink addiction. (Is Surge still sold anywhere? If so, Id love you forever if you sent me some. Smiley ) Id also love to try candies from different areas, too.

:: Cute pillows. A couple that I like are: http://www.etsy.com/view_item.php?listing_id=365266&pic_id=2 and http://www.fredflare.com/customer/product.php?productid=2067&cat=254&page=6 but anything fun and unique is great..a girl can never have too many pillows!

:: Any old craft magazines you may have lying around. Especially if they are crochet related.

:: I know this is a long shot, but a hoodie like any of the amazing ones BambiKhantastic has made.

:: DIY kits for any of the following crafts: knitting, soap making, candle making, embroidery, cross-stitch, bookbinding, or needlefelting.

:: A hipslinger. I have a nasty habit of laying my purse down in public places and this could be a solution to my problem. https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=31379.0

:: Round magnets for making marble magnets. http://i14.ebayimg.com/01/i/07/8b/70/86_2.JPG

:: I love the Inspiration In A Box idea. http://inspirationinabox.com/photos.html

:: A circle skirt. I love this one, but any kind of cute fabric would be great. https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=71681.0 (PM me for my measurements.)

:: Wooden beads to use for crocheted beads.

:: Some sort of journal to keep up with swaps and/or my Etsy stuff.

:: Anything inspired by my Wist.

Hi! I currently live in Los Angeles and this is my list (in no particular order):

* A wrap skirt like this:

But probably not too crazy fabric. I like clean looking things. It doesn't have to be reversible either.

* Any simple skirt that's not a pencil or a mini. A line good.

* Hipslinger! It can be simpler, and rectangular for sewing ease.

* Cloth pads

* T-shirt that says: Keep on knitting in the free world

* T-shirt that says: Ask me about my intervention

* Business cards for my homespun yarn etsy shop. I can pm you for details.

* Interesting grab bag of stuff from where you live (Not USA).  (Chocolate is always welcome)

* Any art inspired by knitting, spinning, or related stuff like sheep.

* Stationery or cards related to knitting or spinning, etc.

* Small Amigurumi sheep, llama, alpaca or unicorn. Patterns interest me too.

* Earrings (Im allergic to cheap metal though sorry!) Nickel-free only.

* Necklaces. Interesting, maybe pendant style. Glass, enamel, wood, whatever.

* Knitting books, booklets, magazines.

* Something inspired from the wists. I just started this up and I'm sure I will add to it a bunch.

Other info: Im in my early thirties. I used to sew a lot but now that I spin and knit, I dropped the sewing. Thats why there are so many sewn things listed here. I love Earth tones, fall colors, and 70s kitchen colors. Lately though it's been robin's egg blue with olive. I love the woods and the things you find in them. I used to live in Washington state and miss it from time to time. I dont need anything too girly/young/frilly or hot neon colors. I like something from every decade so my taste is a bit eclectic. pm me if you want to know anything else, it's not a problem. Thank you for reading this and big thank you if you pick me!

PS - I feel funny asking for things so I want to say I am not super picky and I dont have crazy high expectations. I am happy to make things for other craftsters and the bonus is getting something back. Anything that comes my way will be appreciated!

yay, wists!

Okay! Hi, I'm Jana. I'm in the England.

Okay, Wish list.

-Anything from my ever growing wists list http://www.wists.com/simplyfussfree  I'VE ADDED STUFF

-One of those hip pouches in navy, it's on my Wists if you need the tutorial.

-White or cream knit scarf

-The eyelet skirt from Knitty on my Wists. I wanted to put it here as it wouldn't let me add any information. I'd like it in green or navy. I'm a M/L or size 10.

-A shirt in this style: in a different fabric. A brown. Or one with itty bitty flowers. Stereoette made me an amazing one but I could always use shirts and they'd be different. Or some other sewn top maybe.

-A shirt in this style https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=102456.0

-A wrap dress ( size 10 ). Yes, a bit greedy. But Ryanair lost mine and I loved it so much. Don't trust Ryanair with your luggage. Bastards!

-Homemade perfume, or a kit to make some. The type where you can see flowers and stuff floating around in it would be awesome. I like lavendar and citrusy smells.

-DIY resin kit ( I have the scary potions and whatever, but directions, maybe molds, tips, would all be very appreciated )

-A bag in this style http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATTunbiased.html but in a solid color. In black. Sturdy please...maybe lined? Iridesc3nt is making me a navy one and I love her for it, a black one would be awesome too though!

Something to do with one of these themes:
The forest

To anyone who chooses to craft for me, thanks loads in advance!

About me: I live in Los Angeles but will be living in England with my boyfriend from mid Aug.- Oct. 2. My name is Jana, I turned 26 years old in late May. I like green <3 ( foresty/avacado-y ), and browns. I'm love travelling and am obsessed with Romania, Russia, and Poland. I like Victorian looking things, forest themed things, Hansel and Gretal, things with trees on them, birds, ferns, bikes, and nesting dolls. I don't like: metallics, fun fur, yarn with a sheen ( like simplysoft ), when people clip their nails around me, and when people clap at the end of movies.

I was not picked in August, so I am re-posting the same list. Thanks for checking it out.

Things about me:
I am a 37 year old single white female in suburban Detroit, Michigan. I live alone with my hairless cat, Sevie, and several Macintosh computers. I prefer jewel-toned colors and dislike brown in general. I sew a bit, bead a bit, write a bit. Professionally, I am a graphic designer at an advertising agency. I ride a 600cc scooter (that's me with it in my profile pic) and a 725cc lawn tractor. And I doubt my hair will ever reach my shoulders. I'm online very regularly, so any questions will be answered promptly!

Things I Like:
- High contrast, whether in color (black on white, or red on black, loud plaids) or in character (scary bunnies eeeee!).
- Squids (and most other cephalopods).
- Monkeys. (A monkey for every room, I always say.)
- Burgeoning appreciation for dinosaurs (especially bipedal for some reason).
- Godzilla (oh, maybe THAT's why!).
- Voodoo/juju.
- My favorite movies are "A Clockwork Orange," "Harold and Maude," "The Hunger" and "Silence of the Lambs." (Geez, creepy girl much?)
- My favorite teevee show is "Mystery Science Theater 3000" (okay, not ALL creepy).
- Did you guess I like horror movies? Good ones, though. Not camp/slasher.
- "Dark" themes with major humor infused (Jhonen Vasquez anyone? Mark Ryden?).
- Skulls / skeletons / zombies / you get the picture.
- Militariana (jeeps, gas masks, tanks, bomb-sniffing dogs...).
- Erotica, esp. kinky.

Things to Make:
- Original artwork for my walls (I will frame, unless you really want to do that, too) especially erotic, not-too-cutesy Japanese-inspired, monsterish/horrory. No pastels or abstracts, please. But any size/medium
you like.
- Hard jewelry -- that is, metal or bone or such things (not so much glass) -- particularly of a punkrawk/industrial bent. (Ask if you need any sizes -- my wrists are average, but my fingers and neck are probably
- Curious plushie characters.
- Voodoo/juju dolls -- I have a small collection from shops/artists all over the place and always love to see new interpretations. (Voodoo/juju squid??)
- Things monster-related (such as trinket boxes, figures/figurines, etc.), particularly of the classic monster variety (Frankenstein is tops, with the mummy a quick second), but really anything you find monstery.
- Hand-made books with original content. (I want to read what you write, too!)
- Catnippy kitty toys for my darling hairless cat. (I wish he'd wear sweaters, I really do.)
- Urban Beast Project style critters. http://www.urbanbeast.com/
- BDSM-inspired gear of any sort.

Well I decided to put more themes so here you go
   -lightning bolts
   -those tattoo like birds

About me: I am 16 (finally! My bday was on June 13). I live in Houston, Texas and I love it here! I think it is one of the best places in the world. I love sewing and making jewelry. I make clothes and purses. I also make rings out of beads and wire, and necklaces from seed beads and charms. I love hearts, stars, skulls, clovers, anchors, tattoo birds, robots, dinosaurs, texas, pandas, zebras(zebra print), rockets, lightning bolts, musical notes, and basically anything! I love all colors, but my recent favorites are aqua, turquoise, grey and black. I really like pandas and rabbits, but I think all animals/creatures are wonderful. I am currently in love with zebra print! Cant get enough of it!

please help some animals by clicking here!

i am in toronto, ontario, canada.

my wishlist:

1) a big, sturdy, washable messenger bag with a couple of extra pockets (maybe something simple like a brown corduroy...or any scraps you have lying around). i also have a few lovely silkscreened patches that i could mail to you to be incorporated, if you felt crazily inspired.

2) cloth pouches of any size for organizing all my crap on the road.

3) a sewn vinyl/cloth checkbook cover.

4) a surprise with a ghost on it.

5) screen-printed cotton grocery tote(s). anything! all of mine just fell to bits together.

6) any old office supplies (especially 'paid' or 'entered' stamps - could really use those right now.)

7) a knit uterus! can anybody make this, because i love it. http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter04/PATTwomb.html

8) a needle felting kit.

my tastes are a little old. retro stuff is usually a good bet. i also house a lot of typewriters and spend a lot of time writing and making little bits of art.
