The catnip is a great idea! They are so cute!
I've sold some handmade (knitted, but this will apply to crocheted items as well).  In this sale, there were several other knitters as well.  My things (little bears) were the only knit items that sold.  That is simply because I totally undervalued my time and even the materials on the price.  While it hurt to do that, I recognized that's the only way that people would buy them (they were $12 canadian each).

With crochet it takes less of your time, and so unless you want to make a huge profit they can be priced rather low without hurting you TOO much.

Sorry this is a rant, but unfortunately (lots of) people undervalue handmade items and don't recognize that the price should reflect the fact that its handmade Smiley

This reminds me of a car ornament thing my best friend has always had. It has a little suction cup and suctions to the windshield inside and just hangs there looking cute. Maybe you could make those with them.

Honestly, I want one. If you are going to sell them let me know how much, because I want a orange one.

The fishie is so cute...I third (?) the idea of making small ones with catnip, I know my cat would love it.

Honestly if you made a flock...pod...SCHOOL--geez...a school of fishies like him, particularly in a variegated yarn or with different colour fins yep DEFINITELY he would sell.  I'm on a fish fanciers forum and believe me they'd snap them up.  He'd make a great mobile too--hang several via fishing line.  Soooooo cute!  Definitely a winner.  Cheesy
