This is my first post on the crochet boards! I made this baby blanket for my cousin who is having a baby girl in December.

I came up with the pattern, if that's what you want to call it, myself. I used Red Heart Baby Clouds. The colorway is called Tutti Frutti(now if I could only figure out how to connect the blanket with Little Richard...). I used an N sized hook. It is 30 inches by 30 inches excluding the fringe. I started with a chain of 50 stitches and I half-double crocheted until it was 30 inches. My other cousin(my pregnant cousin's sister), who is 6, likes to rub it against her cheek because"it's so soft!"

The blanket looks so very sweet. I love the mix of colors -- they remind me of cotton candy.

Thanks everyone! It probably took me about 2 weeks, give or take a few days. I used 4 skiens, but I still have half of one left. I only started with 2, thinking that would be enough, and I kept running out before I got more yarn so that slowed me down a little.
