Swap name: The Great Craftster Scavenger Hunt Swap Round 2
Craftster members who are organizing this swap: shylitlegoddess
Sign-up date range: Monday August 28- Monday September 11  OR until  we get 26 participants.
We will post partners 48 hours after  signups end.
Date to send items by: Tuesday October 24th

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): 26

Non-U.S. participants allowed? yes

All ages allowed? Or 18+? All ages

Organizers are aware of current list of "suspended traders" list and will not allow those members to participate: YES

Organizers meet the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that every participant meets these conditions: YES

Details of swap: Everyone loves a scavenger hunt! Each participant will suggest 3-4 items for the scavenger hunt list.

For example, you would write:
- something with your partner's first initial
- something striped
- something round and green

When you get your partner assigned to you, you will also get a huge  Scavenger Hunt list, comprised of everyone's contributions. You will  recognize 3-4 items on the list, because you contributed them! (See  the example list above).

Now, you will get to crafting. You will use as many items from the  list as possible in your crafts. For example, you might buy a wooden  letter that is your partner's initial, decoupage photos of tennis  balls on it, and glue chenille bumble bees to it (assuming your  partner likes tennis and bees... it would be nice if they liked the  stuff... that's kind of the challenge of all swaps, right?) A single item may count for more than one item on the scavenger hunt list. If on the list there is 1. something yellow and 2. something hot and 3. a heavenly body and you craft tshirt that has a yellow sun on it, you've covered all three of those within one object. Make sense?

You will craft at least 2 medium or 3-4 small items using as many  items from the list as possible. If 10 people sign up for this  swap, there will be 30-40 items on the list, so that's quite a few.

You should use at least 10 items on the list. The example above only  used 3. You can always make more crafts if you need/want to... I've  never heard anyone complain about getting "too many" items in a  package.

After all of the items have been received and posted, we'll determine winners of the prizes! There will be two ways to win:
One for the most items in the total package of goodies
One for the most list items in a single item.
In order to be eligible for the prize, you must a.) post a list of which items from the list you used and b.) back that up with photos. If you can't take photos yourself, make sure that your partner can, because that's the only proof we have that you used the items from the list!

Heres some info on the prizes!

I will be accepting small crafted items to contribute to the  prize, if you would like. Just answer yes to that question and I will contact you. Several people have mentioned that they would like to contribute prizes and I have a few crafty supplies and items to put into "Prize Baskets" for the winners. Winner's will be announced after all shipments have been made, recieved, and pictures posted.

When you get your partner assigned, you should use this  questionnaire as a starting point, but be sure to contact your  partner about things they like, sizes, etc.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your  item and other details about participating in a swap.

Happy Scavenging!

Oh, I'm so in!  I've been watching the discussions for this swap and just patiently (not!!) waiting for signups to begin.  I can't wait to see the list and start collecting items.

It was brought up in the swap gallery from the first round that maybe a third place prize would be fun. If there is enough of a return on the prize donations I'm sure that a third place prize can be awarded as well.

Also, just for you eager beavers, PMing each other with the things you entered on your swap list is cheating. I get to see everyone's lists, but I'm not starting crafting till everyone else does. If I'm lyin' may I not have inspiration for a month!

The problem with signing up early is that you have to wait the entire sign up period for partners  Cry

The problem with waiting is the possibility of not getting in. Sucks that way to have a limit on how many people get in. Hopefully we'll fill up fast and get extra crafty time. Cheesy

I'm definitely considering this...very heavily considering...I'll just have to check a few things, make sure I don't have an insanely busy September... Before I officially sign up!
