calista, in case you should need more proof that they are unresponsive, i sent an email a week or two ago, asking what the deal was, and never received a response either. i told them there were people on this site wondering what was up, including one of the supposed contributors.

i imagine that if you've sent emails and have records of that, and haven't cashed any checks from them, that they're not going to hire a lawyer and sue you for $$$ if you cancel the deal.  Smiley

looking forward to seeing your pattern, wherever it might end up...what about a site like magknits? (i was originally thinking knitty, but i think they have a weird rule about not posting pictures of it before it is published).

I believe there have been delays with every single issue. I had a pattern published in last winter's edition, and although my personal experience with them was a positive one, I did get the sense that this sort of fiasco is commonplace over there.

If they can't get it together enough to return your emails, then I doubt they'd be able to get it together enough to sick a lawyer on you if you chose to violate the agreement you made with them. Just make sure that you don't accept any money from them if you decide to publish elsewhere. You've waited long enough.

Thanks guys!

I finally gave up waiting for Spunmag.com to pay me and update it on the magazine. I'm selling the pattern though my blog.
