My husband and I have been wanting to do something with this old coffee table for a couple of years now and I finally found the time to do it!
Here is what it looked like before:
one coat of paint:

After nailing a few loose parts together, I painted another coat of paint. Then I put a piece of hardy backer to fill in the gap in the center of the table and create an even surface to work on.

Then I arranged the pieces of stained glass on the table, glued them down and then added grout.... and...... TADA! a new colorful table!!

I need to add something to it to seal it..like a glaze of some kind... does anyone have any recommendations?

any other thoughts or comments would be cool too!  :)thanks!

- also I want to give credit to PinkyK and her mom for posting this BEAUTIFUL mosaic table https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=74990.0
I knew I wanted to put a mosaic on this table but after seeing the stained glass mosaic...I decided stained glass was the way to go! Thank you!

I love it (but didnt see the shark Smiley )!  They do have clear sealers, but I have no idea what they are called.

Yeah, they do make grout sealers. You can find them usually at a hardware store by the tile and grout. Or else try Michaels. I think I found some there once.

By the way- It looks great! I love mosaics.

Gorgeous!  Love the colors you chose to work with.
