OMG!!!! I used to live in osborne village in winnipeg! they have ANYTHING you could possibly want in the stores there...they have the vinyl store(don't be fooled, it isn't just full of pot paraphenalia), they have hte gothy accessory store, sushi, vegan restaurants(mongoon dragon is my FAVE!), the urban bakery(nuff said), there's an import store that benefits african artists(all items are actually imported and part of proceeds goes to supporting thier art), art galleries (but not the normal kind, the kind where you touch/taste/hear the art), there's usually buskers on every other street corner, the beading place, and LOADS of internet coffee shops. Another good place to look if you're in winnipeg is at the Forks (about a 15 min walk from the village). OH! and how could i forget my favorite store of all? the candy/fudge shop!!!.

i used to live there too! my favorite was called "out of the blue", i don't know if it's still there though. it's like downstairs on the south side of osbourne, right after the river, and it has INCREDIBLE clothes, accessories and household stuff. lots of vintage inspired goodies, but all new.  i spent like half of every paycheque in there. there was also a great shop called stulka or something like that right at the intersection of river and osbourne, next to the doctor's office. the girl who owned it (again if it's still there) was a local designer and it was full of her stuff. and it was wicked affordable.

god i miss winnipeg.
to the moon!
