Just a passing reference, but it made me laugh:

In the Rifftrax of The Devil's Hand, the blonde devil cultist explains how she called the "hero" of the movie to her with, "It's a simple process of thought projection or thought transference."

Rifftrax response: "Every girl learns it in Home Ec for the Evil. It comes after crocheting with human hair."

Home Ec for Evil? Lol I love it!

I've noticed in a Credit Karma commercial there's a girl using a crocheted blanket and there's one draped over the back of the couch that she's laying on Smiley My fiance has gotten used to me pointing out crocheted things in movies or tv shows we watch. Grin

I watched Krampus yesterday and the hilarious drunk aunt was crocheting quite a bit.  Looked like a granny square.

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.

Lots of crochet items and and actual crocheter in Orange is the New Black. I remember a granny square blanket, crocheted pillow, scarf...the crocheted is in season four but I have to go back and find the episode number.

I'm pretty sure that in either the first or second season, the "Golden Girls" group were teaching Piper how to single crochet.

Edit: It was the nun!  Also, there's a really cute hat that Flaca was wearing and a similar one that Aleida wore.

The Canadian sitcom Corner Gas has a character who is always doing something with yarn--sometimes knitting and sometimes crocheting. There is even an episode where she bets she can give it up, and it turns out she can't.
