Okay, I found batteries for the camera!  OriginalYouth sent me an incredible package...I wish I could've worked quickly enough to send as much as she did. Smiley

She sent lots of little goodies: beads, findings, stitch markers, magnets, with lots of leaves!  She also made an awesome journal with leaves and labyrinths.

And, best of all, she painted me a set of pictures!  In the corner of the first one, you can see the goblin city from Labyrinth, and when you set them together, you can see how the scene continues.  It's truly amazing.

Thank you so much!

here's what I received from mpicky:

it was hard to get the photo to show to great colors!  It has glass, wood and ceramic beads along with some silver, lapis and jade.  All my favorite colors.  I love it!

she did an awesome job!

thanks mpicky!

I think originalyouth is the overachiever among us! That painting is amazing. Woman, did you sleep at all last weekend or just paint?!?!

My husband said (in response to your question CraftyKate) "do you want ME to answer that?  No, she didn't, she just slaved all for the adoration of strangers"...okay, so he was MOSTLY kidding, and it was MOSTLY untrue...I did sleep.

I also had to do a painting for an auction (it was for Romanian ORPHANS, for heaven's sakes) and make jewelry (to wear to the auction) and finish the hems on my infinity shirt (auction again), as well as make a bunch of jewelry for 6 jewelry classes I am going to start teaching...It was rather busy!  I don't have a 'day job' though, (other than chasing my 3year old and teething 8 1/2 month old son around), so that did give me a bit more time!
Oh, well, it seems worth it, as halfelvenwriter likes her goodies!  I did have fun carrying on with the leaf theme.  Thanks for being my first 'official' swap partner!  I am excited to do more of these!

Dude, that sounds like way more work than a "day job."  Smiley

Well, yeah, it's 6am and he already woke up screaming from his teeth hurting, so my 'day job' only runs from 7am to 9:30pm, until they are asleep... go figure.  I craft around them (or with them!)

Besides with faces like these.....

How can you blame them?  Smiley

YEA!  I got my package from halfelvenwriter today!  I opened the mailbox the minute the mail truck drove away!

She really paid attention to the colors I like and chose to make me a swap journal (from my wists).

See how cool it is?

I love black, red, silver and swirls, and she followed that to a tee!  It is a coptic bound black journal, with glittery silvery swirls stamped on, and black swirled scrapbook paper inside.  The book itself has swap pages (I'll be ready for 100's of swaps with this!) that she designed herself, and there is even a 'watermark' design in the background on the pages!
Here is the inside, with the beaded bookmark!

AND a cool necklace/earring set!

I will have to wear it to the craft store when I carry my swap journal so I can show off how my necklace matches the bookmark!  LOL!

Thanks again, Halfelvenwriter!  It's perfect!
