I'm REALLY short, so if I just dangle my feet off the couch, my knees start feeling wonky.  Because of this, I invariably curl up on the couch and switch positions so much I think I have restless legs syndrome.  SO, Mr. Fiancé and I went to Ikea and bought a Knoppe footstool.  I love it!  Only problem is it looks like they lost the slipcover.  Turns out, it doesn't come with one.  So I made one.  Notice ribbon detailing and appliqué of extra flower on the top.

It matches:

The awesome -- though kind of bunchy -- slipcover on this rocking chair that Mr. Fiancé found on the curb two years ago.  It had been this dingy bluish gray, and when I took it apart to replicate the cover, I discovered it had already been slipcovered!  The original was gross itchy brown plain wool nast.

very goodand nice choice of fabric. I'm glad to see I'm not alone in the "giving unwanted furniture a new life" department!

That footstool is great.  I love the flower pattern and I don't even like flowers!  Wow, crazy huh?
