I feel like a kindergardener showing off the crayon drawing she made at school that day compared to all of you amazing quilters, but here it is! My tshirt quilt:

The back is a goodwill sheet.

awww, i made one of these, too! i was inspired by one of those t-shirt craft books.

your colors look much better. i ended up with a lot of blacks and reds that didn't really jive. also, mine is wayyyy too big. i'm also using a flat thrift store sheet for the back, i just have to get around to washing it before i sew it on.

No need to feel that way - your t-shirt quilt looks fantastic.  I love all the bright colors and neat pictures.  The backing looks great too!

I'd love to do this with my kids old cothes, but I have a couple questions..

Do you just cut them into a square shape (removing the arms and bottom etc?) ? Do you use reguar sutffing or that sheet batting stuff? Is it a whole shirt or just the important part (front or back?)? Did you pin it to the sheet then sew it all or do it in parts?

Wow...maybe it would have been more efficient to ask for a tute! Grin That's sooo nice and a great way to remember all the fun stuff you did and liked growing up. I have this AWFUL Billy Ray Cyrus shirt that I'd have to use if I made one for me!
